Penn State-Indiana Set For 3:30 Kickoff On ABC

No. 13 Penn State football will kick off its November 5 matchup against Indiana at 3:30 p.m. on ABC, as announced by Penn State Saturday night.

The Nittany Lions’ contest with the Hoosiers marks the third 3:30 p.m. kickoff for the program this season. Earlier this year, Penn State traveled to Auburn and hosted Northwestern in the time slot.

This is also the third time the team will be televised on ABC after holding the Big Noon slot on FOX against Ohio State.

Penn State most recently played Indiana inside Beaver Stadium last year when it shut out its conference opponent 24-0.

Indiana has only won twice in the 25 times the series has been held, though one of those wins came in 2020 – the last time Penn State traveled to Bloomington. In 2020’s COVID-affected season, the Hoosiers defeated the Nittany Lions 36-35 in a controversial overtime finish.

Currently, Indiana is unranked, but that seems unlikely to change coming off a bye week. Conversely, Penn State sits at No. 13 for the time being, though its decisive 44-31 loss to Ohio State Saturday will almost certainly drop that ranking.

After starting 3-0, the Hoosiers dropped five straight, losing to Cincinnati, Nebraska, Michigan, Maryland, and Illinois. After starting 5-0, Penn State has lost two of its last three – to Michigan and Ohio State, respectively.
