Report: Penn State Defensive Lineman Davon Townley Jr. Enters Transfer Portal

Redshirt freshman defensive lineman Davon Townley Jr. has reportedly entered the transfer portal, according to 247Sports.

A former four-star from Minneapolis, Townley did not appear in a game this season for Penn State and will enter the transfer portal with four years of eligibility. He originally committed to Penn State in February 2021.

Townley is the second defensive lineman and the fifth Penn Stater this week to enter the transfer portal, following former three-star edge rusher Rodney McGraw, who announced he would enter the portal once it opened on Monday, December 5. Quarterback Christian Veilleux, reserve defensive back Jeffrey Davis Jr., and Maleek McNeil have all decided to enter the transfer portal, as well.
