Penn State Students Bringing Wawa Hoagies To State College February 11

Calling all Wawa enthusiasts!

Philadelphians, or students who just love hoagies, can look forward to subs from one of Pennsylvania’s favorite chains during Super Bowl weekend.

Penn State students Daniela Carannante, Jaron Campbell, Akhdan Mir, Sam Naemi, and Jason Lu are bringing Wawa hoagies to Happy Valley on Saturday, February 11. Nothing says “Go Birds” more than a Wawa hoagie!

The group was required to create a viable and profitable business endeavor within three weeks as an assignment for their technology-based entrepreneurship class.

“From both our personal experience and our interactions with fellow Penn Staters, we knew there was a strong love for Wawa here,” Campbell said. “To provide this value, we are partnering with the nearest Wawas, which are about two hours away.”

Students have until 10 p.m. on Sunday, February 5, to preorder the hoagies of their choice. All hoagies will be six inches and cost $10. You can place your order here.

The team plans to distribute the hoagies at a central location, such as the HUB.

“While the initial venture is a one-time event, we believe the love and desire for Wawa are huge and would love to continue providing this service if the student body is receptive to it,” Campbell said.

In December, Wawa announced it was looking to expand to State College as soon as 2025. We guess dreams really do come true.

Enjoy your hoagies, folks!
