Report: Penn State Cornerback Marquis Wilson Transfers To Purdue
Three months after entering the transfer portal, former Penn State cornerback Marquis Wilson will reportedly join Big Ten rival Purdue, according to Supreme Athlete –– a nonprofit organization linked to the player. Wilson currently holds one remaining year of eligibility.
Entering his senior season, Wilson boasts four years of experience from his time in Happy Valley. Over the course of his career, Wilson has been responsible for two interceptions, three forced fumbles, and 55 tackles –– including a career-high 20 last season.
Wilson never achieved a full-time starter status with the Nittany Lions. With Wilson’s departure, Penn State’s cornerbacks will return Kalen King, Johnny Dixon, and Daequan Hardy, as well as introduce North Carolina transfer Storm Duck.
Wilson originally committed to Penn State in May 2018, when he was ranked as a four-star prospect.
