Micah Parsons Named NFC Defensive Player Of The Week

Micah parsons

Former Penn State football star and Dallas Cowboy linebacker Micah Parsons was named the NFC Defensive Player of the Week.

Parsons had an impressive showing against the New York Jets Sunday afternoon when the Cowboys climbed to a 30-10 dominant victory. During the game, the linebacker recorded four solo tackles, three tackles for loss, two sacks, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery.

This is Parsons’ third NFC Defensive Player of the Week distinction in his three years in the league. He won his first during week five of the 2021 season against the Vikings and last season in week five of the 2022 season against the Rams.

The former Penn State linebacker is the clear leader of the Dallas Cowboys defense and certainly a feared defensive player in the NFL at this point.

Parsons currently sits tied for third on the sack-leaders list this season with three and leads Dallas with seven tackles for loss.

Parsons will continue his impressive start to the 2023 campaign as the Cowboys hit the road to take on the Cardinals at 4:25 p.m. on Sunday, September 24, in Glendale, Arizona.
