Report: Penn State Hoops Finalizing December 21 Game Against Drexel

Penn State men’s basketball is finalizing an agreement to face Drexel on Saturday, December 21, at the Wells Fargo Center, according to Rocco Miller. The game would be Penn State’s second reported scheduled game against a Philadelphia team around Christmas.

Last season, the Dragons went 20-12 with a 13-5 record in the Coastal Athletic Association. They pulled off an upset over Villanova in the Big 5 Classic in Philadelphia but fell in the first round of their conference tournament.

The Drexel game is one of several reported or confirmed out-of-conference matchups for the Nittany Lions in the 2024-25 seasons. Penn State confirmed it will play Virginia Tech in the Hall of Fame series in Baltimore, while Jon Rothstein reported Penn State will face Penn on December 29 at the Bryce Jordan Center, Buffalo on December 1, and play in the 2024 Sunshine Slam.
