Penn State Hoops To Host Buffalo December 1

Jon Rothstein is never wrong.

Buffalo men’s basketball released its 2024-25 non-conference schedule Tuesday, confirming that it will face Penn State on Sunday, December 1. The matchup was previously reported by college basketball insider Rothstein.

Penn State holds a 6-2 record against the Bulls. The programs last faced in 2004 when Penn State dropped a 72-70 game at home just before Christmas.

The Nittany Lions are trying to improve their 16-17 record from the 2023-24 season with Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year Ace Baldwin returning for another season in State College.

Penn State has yet to set its full 2024-25 schedule, though Rothstein and others have put together pieces of the puzzle. Penn State is set to face Drexel on December 21 in Philadelphia, Virginia Tech in the Hall of Fame series in Baltimore, Penn on December 29 at the Bryce Jordan Center, and will play in the 2024 Sunshine Slam.
