Penn State Launches ‘The Years Of Service Recognition Program’ To Honor Full-Time Faculty & Staff

Penn State has launched a new initiative to acknowledge the dedication and years of service of all its full-time faculty, staff, and technical service employees, university leadership announced last Wednesday.

The Years of Service Recognition Program will offer awards to its full-time employees at all of Penn State’s locations beginning after the program’s November 1 launch.

Awards will be handed out after the first and third years of employment and include a yearbook to commemorate the employee’s anniversary, as well as special messages from coworkers and Penn State President Neeli Bendapudi.

After an employee’s fifth year with the university, the program will award the individual a personalized Penn State-themed numeral and a customized yearbook with personalized messages covering their career and accomplishments. The recognitions will then continue in five-year intervals.

“The passion, dedication, and hard work of all of you, our faculty and staff, have always been at the very core of Penn State’s greatness,” Bendapudi said in a release. “It is because of your dedication, committed effort, brilliance, and ingenuity that we as a university are able to achieve our mission, impact our world, and propel our students to lifelong success.”
