Penn State Softball Infielder Brooke Klosowicz Named Big Ten Player Of The Week

Penn State softball’s Brooke Klosowicz was named the Big Ten Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday.
Klosowicz led Penn State to a 4-0 weekend, going 9-for-12 at the plate and batting in seven runs while also racking up three doubles and three home runs. Her season batting average is now .522, first on the team and third in the Big Ten.
With a 12-11 overall record, Klosowicz has 35 hits, 25 runs, and 22 RBIs. all of which are team highs. She also leads the team with 12 doubles, which is one away from Penn State’s single-season record.
The home-opening series was headlined by a historic 23-0 win over Fairfield, a game in which Klosowicz went 3-for-3 with three RBIs.
Penn State will return to action to open Big Ten play with two games each against Northwestern and Minnesota at Devon Park in Oklahoma City. The first game is slated for 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 13, and will be streamed on BTN+.
