Penn State Women’s Volleyball To Face Pitt In Spring Match On April 9

Penn State women’s volleyball is set to play Pitt in its spring match at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 9, the team announced Monday afternoon.

The Nittany Lions are coming off a 35-2 season that was capped by a national championship, while Pitt went 33-2 and made a national semifinal appearance.

Early last season, the Panthers took down Penn State in a 3-0 sweep at the Petersen Events Center. At the time of the match, Pitt was ranked No. 1 and Penn State was No. 3.

Next year’s Penn State team will be without former stars Jess Mruzik, Taylor Trammell, and Camryn Hannah, but will feature incoming transfers Emmi Sellman and Addie Lyon, along with a group of five freshmen.

The spring match, which will be played in Rec Hall, will be free for all spectators.
