Former Penn State Hoops Guard Jahvin Carter Transfers To Middle Tennessee State

He’s heading back home, folks.

Former Penn State men’s basketball freshman guard Jahvin Carter has committed to Middle Tennessee State, he announced on Friday. Carter announced he entered the transfer portal on March 19.

In his only season with the Nittany Lions, the Alcoa, Tennessee, native averaged 2.1 points, 0.7 rebounds, and 0.7 assists per game. He appeared in 26 games and played 215 minutes.

Carter was a three-star recruit coming out of Alcoa High School. He was rated as the No. 2 player from Tennessee, the No. 44 combo guard, and the No. 292 player in the nation. He will have three years of eligibility remaining.

Carter was the first former Penn Stater to enter the transfer portal and is the first to find a new program. Miles Goodman and Hudson Ward remain in the portal.
