Neeli Bendapudi To Hold Livestream After Vote On Commonwealth Campuses Closure On May 22

Penn State President Neeli Bendapudi is planning to address the Penn State community on Thursday, May 22, after a virtual Board of Trustees meeting to vote on her recommendation for the future of seven commonwealth campuses.

The address will be given via livestream, approximately one hour after the Board of Trustees meeting concludes. The stream will be open to the public. Anyone can watch it here. Folks who can’t watch it live can watch a recording of the stream when it’s posted later.

On May 13, Bendapudi released her recommendation to close seven Commonwealth campuses. The recommendation became public after it was leaked to the media the day before.

In February, Bendapudi announced Penn State would begin looking into the future of 12 Commonwealth campuses and would come to a decision by the end of the 2025 spring semester.
