Forward Dionycius Bakare Commits To Penn State Hoops

Mike Rhoades has earned his first commitment from the class of 2026.

Class of 2026 forward Dionycius Bakare announced his commitment to Penn State men’s basketball on Instagram on Monday.

Bakare is a 6’5″ unranked small forward from Vancouver, British Columbia, and plays his high school ball at the Phelps School in Malvern, Pennsylvania. Incoming Nittany Lion freshman center Justin Houser is a graduate of the Phelps School as well.

The Canadian chose the blue and white over offers to SMU, South Florida, Washington, and Arizona State.
