Former Penn State Football Defensive Line Commit Alexander Haskell Flips To Syracuse

Former Penn State football class of 2026 three-star defensive line commit Alexander Haskell has flipped his commitment to Syracuse, he announced on X.

Haskell reopened his commitment following the firing of James Franklin. A native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and a St. Joseph’s Prep product committed to the Nittany Lions in May.

The 6’4″ lineman is ranked as a three-star by the 247 composite rankings, and is the 17th best player in the Keystone State and the 78th best defensive lineman in the country.

Haskell is the first former member of the class of 2026 recruiting class to find a home elsewhere, post the departure of Franklin.
