Former West Virginia Safety Chris Fileppo Transfers To Penn State Football

Deon Broomfield gets another safety through the transfer portal.

Former West Virginia safety Chris Fileppo has announced he is transferring to Penn State football, per his X page. Fileppo brings three more years of eligibility back to his home state.

The Glenside, Pennsylvania, native appeared in 12 games this season with the Mountaineers, recording 12 tackles and one tackle for loss as a true freshman.

Fileppo was rated as a three-star recruit in the class of 2025 and the 28th best player in the Keystone State, per the 247Sports composite rankings. He joins a revamped Nittany Lion secondary, led by Terry Smith and Broomfield, who have both been active in the transfer portal this offseason.
