Penn State Men’s Hockey’s Reese Laubach Earns Big Ten Third Star Of The Week

Penn State men’s hockey forward Reese Laubach has brought in his first Big Ten weekly honor of the season and his fourth of his career, earning the Big Ten Third Star of the Week.

The Nittany Lions lost both matches against the No. 2-ranked Wolverines over the weekend at Yost Ice Arena. Even though the team struggled, the junior still managed to notch three goals and four points. Over the season, Laubach ranks sixth on the team in scoring with nine goals and 12 assists. In the last five games alone, Laubach has tallied five goals.

He is now the eighth Penn State player to earn weekly honors throughout the 2025-26 season. He joins elite company beside names like Gavin McKenna.

Penn State returns to the ice against the Ohio State Buckeyes at 8:30 p.m on February 20 at Pegula Ice Arena.
