Report: Penn State Hoops Forward Tibor Mirtič Enters Transfer Portal

Penn State men’s basketball forward Tibor Mirtič has entered the transfer portal, per Sam Kayser.

Mirtič is calling it quits after only one season in Happy Valley. He appeared in 15 games in 2025-26, averaging 3.7 points and 3.3 rebounds per game. Mirtič never surpassed double-digit points in a game all year, with his eight-point season high coming against Sacred Heart in November.

A Ljubljana, Slovenia native, Mirtic stands at 6’9″, 255 pounds. He committed to Penn State after time with Krka Novo Mesto in both of Slovenia’s top professional leagues.

Mirtič is the eighth Penn State player to enter the transfer portal this offseason, joining Kayden Mingo, Freddie Dilione V, Melih Tunca, Dominick Stewart, Eli Rice, Mason Blackwood, and Justin Houser. Mingo and Dilione have found new homes with Baylor and Georgia, respectively.
