It was a good weekend for the Penn State baseball team. After an underwhelming performance in game one on Friday night, Penn State came back strong to win the final two games of their three game series against Michigan this weekend.
Coming off a 16-run offensive explosion in a win on the road over conference foe Purdue on Sunday, the Penn State Nittany Lions baseball team continued to swing the bats well in a non-conference road win on Tuesday, defeating Kent State 9-7. The Lions will return home for a home contest against Binghamton before hosting Canisius for a weekend 3-game series.
The Penn State Student Red Cross Club has organized a month-long blood drive in the second annual “Fight for Life”. Penn State will compete to give the most blood against the Ohio State University Student Red Cross Club. The friendly competition began Monday, April 2 and will conclude on Friday, April 27.
