The Lady Lions advanced to the semifinals of the Big Ten tournament with their win over Ohio State on Friday.
Stephen Lyne, a Penn State sophomore from Franklin Park, Pa., was unexpectedly found dead in his State College house on W. Fairmount Ave. late last month, according to local obituaries and The Behrend Beacon.
Last year, the Penn State community endured the loss of freshman Courtney O'Bryan when she passed away in a car accident en route to a weekend canning trip. To honor her memory, THON announced the creation of the Courtney O'Bryan Volunteer Award to “recognize the volunteer who most embodies O’Bryan’s charitable work and dedication to THON’s mission” and her mother presented the award tonight.
It was the first time the Wondershop Showdown played at THON, but they could very well be the best performance thus far.
Leaving Penn State was tough. I made so many memories in Happy Valley that it was a difficult transition to go through. Though I lived up all four years I spent at PSU, I can't help but occasionally think, "Why did I ever leave?"
