Michigan State gave the Nittany Lions the boot off the proverbial bubble Thursday night after thoroughly taking care of business at the Breslin Center, downing Penn State, 75-57.

In a battle of the Big Ten's best, the #23 Lady Lions fell to the visiting #11 Michigan State Spartans, 60-49. Sophomore forward Mia Nickson led the team with 22 points on 6-12 shooting, but was one of just two Lady Lions in double figures, along with star freshman Maggie Lucas (15 points).
