Penn State (12-15, 4-10) came out hot Thursday night at the Bryce Jordan Center and held on down the stretch for a 69-64 victory over Iowa.
Dollar Hot Dogs and Free Hats? Yeah, it's going down at the Bryce Jordan Center tonight as Penn State squares off with conference foe Iowa.
THON 2012 weekend is just a day away! With so little time until THON kicks off, we at Onward State figured we should let you know who you should be familiar with if you head over to the Bryce Jordan Center this weekend. FTK!
In the final installment of the THON Overall Series, Family Relations Overall Kaylee Tully explains the support system her committee provides for the Four Diamonds Families, and the importance pediatric cancer awareness holds within the THON community. As my interview series comes to a conclusion, for all of those who have stuck with me through the months, I challenge all to seriously consider the many lessons learned from this year's leaders. Let their passion be your passion, and if you have the opportunity to step inside the BJC this weekend, show every child, parent, student, and unfamiliar face the love that fills the spirits from these fourteen individuals of whom I am proud to call my friends.
Communications serves as the "voice" of THON to the Penn State community, which includes students, faculty, staff, and alumni. Find out what they do for THON throughout the year and during THON weekend in this installment of THON 101.
When it comes to doing creative and cool things- Penn Staters do it the best. When we want a White House at Beaver Stadium, we get 110,000 people to wear all white. When we want to help beat cancer, we raise millions of dollars and dance for 46 hours to help ease the burden on pediatric cancer patients and their families. In a few days, Penn State will have the chance to combine both of these things and white out THON 2012. It has been spreading around campus and social media sites that for the first time in THON's history, the Pep Rally will be a White Out.
