
It's no secret that college students are often portrayed as having little money -- the Ramen eating, penny pinching, "poor college student" stereotype has come from a lot of truth. However as students we don't really get the chance to learn about money or how to handle it, which can be a huge problem when we graduate.

It was a hectic day for the nation, but for those in Boston, it was chaos. We are likely only beginning to comprehend the aftermath of the two explosions near the finish line of the Boston Marathon yesterday that took three lives and injured at least 140 others. It is a tragedy that we will likely never understand -- for how can one understand something that has no good explanation?

After THON's $12 million and Relay For Life of Penn State's $137,509.62 this weekend, it's a great year for Penn State to find out that they'll be hosting Camp Kesem, a week-long camp for kids who currently have, or have had, cancer.

Relay For Life of Penn State 2013 raised $137,602.59 in their fight against cancer, smashing their previous record of $109,500 that was raised in 2010.

The Centre County Out of the Darkness Walk will be held this Sunday on April 14 to raise money for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP). I encourage you to donate your time or money to understand an issue that many people write off.
