Blue & White Rapper Contest: Griff

Over the next two days, we will be critiquing all six of the entries for the Blue & White Rapper contest. You watch all the entry videos at GoPSF.com and vote for your favorite at the Collegian.

Griff

Steve

Good: Guitar Hero setup; laid back beat with heavy bass and a simple drum kit.
Bad: He tries to fit too many syllables into every phrase (line).
Ugly: Awkward pause at the beginning.
Best line: “I’ll hype the Blue and White till I’m old and gray.”

Lisa

Good: Funk-like background music, ending bass line slightly reminiscent of Red Hot Chili Peppers, detailed description of the football team (defense, passes, JoePa’s career, etc.).
Bad: The drummer’s bandanna (why is it over his face?) and the T.V. in the background (who is the man with the parachute?).
Ugly: What’s on his pants?
Best line: “Big things this year, I have no doubt: You can count on State but you can never count ’em out.”
