Hanson Will Shout It Out at the HUB

The HUB will call Eisenhower’s Goo Goo Dolls’ performance and raise it a free Hanson show at 10 p.m. this Saturday, August 28. According to the Student Programming Association’s twitter account, tickets will be available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday. Tickets can be obtained on the first floor of the HUB for a reasonable sum of $0.00 with a student ID thanks to the SPA.

The Eagles Come to the BJC

Rock n' Roll legends The Eagles are coming to the Bryce Jordan Center on Friday October 22 at 8:00 pm. The Eagles have sold more than 120 million albums worldwide, won six Grammy awards and earned a spot in the Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame in 1998. If you still haven't heard of them, ask your elders for some serious music education.

Penn State Rankings-Mania!

We're number one (or 14, or 19)! The major preseason polls have all been published, so here is a recap of where Penn State is located in each of the major polls.


The Nittany Lions highest ranking is 14th in the USA Today Coaches poll. The Associated Press has Penn State at 19, and ESPN.com has the Lions at 21. With such a wide variety, which one is correct? Read on to find out.

News and Notes from the Football Team

Slightly more than a week away from the opening kickoff versus Youngstown State on Sept. 4th, the Nittany Lions are beginning to gel, position battles are steaming up and leaders are beginning to shine.


Joe Paterno will look to improve on his 394 career victories while facing a gauntlet of a road schedule. He will take his Nittany Lions south Sept. 11 to square off versus Alabama, the defending national champions and top ranked team in the country. Oh, and they also sport last year's Hesiman trophy-winning running back.
