Mixing back and brown is an ambitious decision.

Mixing these two colors can work, but it’s risky. The trick is to combine black and brown only when an article of clothing compels you to do so. Check out how this week’s Natty Nittany does it.

Brenna has a fun black and brown scarf and brown and black leopard print shirt, accentuated by fluffy brown earmuffs and weathered brown boots. She shows us a good example of how to wear leggings. Even though leggings look bad in SNUGGs, I know ladies love them for their warmth. Pairing them with a smart black jacket and textured brown accessories is the way to go for a warm and fashionable look.

Wearing black and brown solids is a NO in my book. Wearing separate leather accessories, like black leather shoes and a brown leather belt, is also a NO.
