Drunk, Sober, High
Over the course of this year, it seems that a large influx of rappers or hip hop collectives have been emerging from Penn State's ranks. One rapper, Ugochukwu Onyiata, or as he goes by, The 'U', has recently caught my attention. I witnessed this man spit his stuff on several occassions, including this past Friday, and he has yet to disappoint me. I booked a meeting with 'U' which went down as follows: we played Madden; listened to some new, unreleased tracks of his; watched Duke vs. Clemson; discussed Lil' Wayne; and then finally did the interview. Check it out after the jump.
If shaking it like no one is watching sounds like a good way to spend your Thirsty Thursday, check out the Penn State Swing Club's dance party/fundraiser.
Tonight at 8pm, the boogie is going down at Sugar on Top on 121 1/2 E. Beaver Avenue. The theme of the night is Candy Land, so dress accordingly. Dancing, cupcakes and giveaways...enough said.
If you've made your way down College Ave near Family Clothesline over the past few days, chances are you have noticed the loud music coming from the street's newest store front. Campus Candy, which opened last Friday, is the newest craze to hit State College but, as their slogan says, they "ain't just candy."
As most of you probably know, next week is Spring Break week. If you’re the typical hardworking Penn State student, you left last Friday.
Before saying goodbye to Penn State and paying hundreds of dollars to get drunk not in Pennsylvania, you should consider where exactly you want to go. Or more importantly, where you definitely DON’T want to go.
