Student-athletes took to the stage on Sunday at the SAAB Mr. & Ms. Student-Athlete Pageant to raise money for THON and compete to be crowned King or Queen. The pageant raised an estimated $2,000 For The Kids.
We are the multitude and we are trying to create a new world in the shell of the old. We are working in a dispersed, decentralized way on local issues that connect to systemic goals. We believe there are fundamental problems with governance and with how wealth is generated and distributed. We are exploring how system change can be approached through a combination of incremental changes and by developing counter institutions.
Penn State hasn’t been known to produce fabulous events bringing together hundreds of people, plus special guests like fashion magazine editors, style directors, or big execs. Well, State College, prepare yourself. That’s about to change.
Exactly one month ago marked September 24th. In case you don't remember, a beautiful fall afternoon welcomed the Eastern Michigan Eagles to Happy Valley. Our beloved Nittany Lions coasted to 34-6 victory that day, but to be honest, I don't remember all too much from the game. Not because I was drunk, but because it was simply a boring game.
