Governor Tom Corbett announced yesterday two nominations for the Penn State Board of Trustees -- Cliff Benson and football letterman Todd Rucci. The pair will replace Ira Lubert and Alvin Clemens, both of whom notified Corbett of their desire to step down from the board. Clemens and Lubert's terms have expired, but they will continue to serve until Benson and Rucci are confirmed by the Pennsylvania Senate.

When the 90's ended we all thought (and hoped) that fanny packs were a thing of the past. This weekend, however, they are alive and well in the BJC. Fanny packs are a staple of the classic THON outfit, where else would you keep your snacks and tennis ball? (I mean, maybe a drawstring back, but who am I to judge?) Anyway, some THONners really brought their fanny pack A game this weekend, and here's a list!

For those of you who're attending your first THON this year and need to find a way to explain the pandemonium to parents who just can't understand, fret no longer. We've crafted the perfect letter to help you get the message across. It's as simple as copy and paste.

Freshmen in fraternities generally don’t get to experience much of a free year. Pledging usually takes up more than a half of a semester, either in the fall or the spring. With pledging generally comes obligations to show that you truly want to be a part of the brotherhood that is a fraternity. THON weekend brings one such opportunity to bond with the rest of the fraternity before actually becoming a member of the brotherhood.

For former dancers, returning to the THON provides a slew of nostalgia and pride.
