Centre County District Attorney Bernie Cantorna announced Wednesday that no officers would be charged in the fatal shooting of State College resident Osaze Osagie after a month-long investigation by state police.
At a press conference, Cantorna detailed the course of events that led to police using force first with a taser and then by shooting Osagie while serving a mental health warrant at his Old Boalsburg Road apartment on March 20. As a result of the confrontation, Osagie died of multiple gunshot wounds, according to Centre County Coroner Scott Sayers.
