Four Penn State Men’s Lacrosse Players Named To USA Lacrosse All-American Teams

Four Penn State men’s lacrosse players were named to USA Lacrosse All-American Teams, the organization announced Thursday morning. TJ Malone, Grant Haus, Jack Fracyon, and Alex Ross were all recognized.

Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year Malone was recognized as a second-team All-American after netting career-highs with 40 goals and 34 assists this season. Malone was recently selected in the third round of the PLL College Draft by the Maryland Whipsnakes.

Haus, a fifth-year defensive midfielder, was named to the third team after scooping 25 ground balls and forcing three turnovers this year. It was his second USA Lacrosse All-American nomination and he was also named to the All-Big Ten Second Team.

Goaltender Fracyon and defender Ross rounded out Penn State’s selections after being named All-American honorable mentions. Fracyon was named Big Ten Specialist of the Year after leading the conference with a .589 save percentage and 13.88 saves per game in the regular season. Ross, a sophomore, forced 13 turnovers and scooped 29 ground balls on the year.

The No. 9-ranked Nittany Lions will travel to face No. 7 Georgetown at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 12, in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. The game will be televised on ESPNU.
