Ace Baldwin Jr. Named To Bob Cousy Award Preseason Watch List

Penn State men’s basketball star Ace Baldwin Jr. was named to the Bob Cousy Point Guard of the Year Award Preseason Watch List, the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame announced Monday afternoon.

Baldwin is one of five point guards representing the Big Ten in the top 20, along with Indiana’s Myles Rice, Ohio State’s Bruce Thornton, Purdue’s Braden Smith, and Rutgers’ Dylan Harper.

Along with being selected for the Bob Cousy Award Watch List, Baldwin was slotted at No. 54 in ESPN’s Preseason Top 100 Player Rankings.

Earlier this month, the 6’1″ graduate student was also listed on the Preseason All-Big Ten Team.

In his first season with the Nittany Lions last year, Baldwin had 14.2 points, six assists, and 2.7 steals per game on his way to being the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year.

Baldwin and Penn State will open the season at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, November 4, at the Bryce Jordan Center against Binghamton.
