[Photo Story] College GameDay Returns For Penn State-Ohio State

The last time College GameDay was in Happy Valley was in 2021 with No. 10 Penn State’s competing against No. 22 Auburn. After a three-year drought, the ESPN morning college football show finally returned this past Saturday for No. 3 Penn State against No. 4 Ohio State.

Of course, our photographers were on the scene to capture moments from the night before to the morning of the event.

Students started setting up camp Friday, some as early as 20 hours before the show started.

Come Saturday morning, students were up early and ready for a full day ahead.

Per College GameDay tradition, fans prepared a variety of signs.

As the GameDay pit opened, students rushed in to get the best view of the events to come.

As the sun rose, so did the electricity of the crowd.

There were plenty of pups out there, too, just to enjoy the show.

Once host Rece Davis along with analysts Lee Corso, Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard, Nick Saban, and Pat McAfee arrived, they provided viewers with insight into that weekend’s games. Saban even put on a classy Nittany Lion costume!

Seeing what the crowd’s signs say is always one of the best things about College GameDay.

Jason Kelce made a special appearance at McAfee’s field goal challenge. Sadly, both he and the randomly selected crowd member failed their field goal attempts.

Although the game was hard to watch, hopefully, College GameDay is something fans and students can remember fondly.
