Four-Star Edge Rusher Jayden Woods Flips From Penn State Football To Florida

Class of 2025 four-star edge rusher Jayden Woods has flipped his commitment from Penn State football to Florida, he announced Friday afternoon. Woods originally committed to the Nittany Lions in June.

Woods, who hails from Shawnee, Kansas, is ranked as the No. 10 edge rusher in the nation and the fifth-best player in his home state, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. After losing Woods’ commitment, Penn State is ranked as the No. 17 recruiting class in the country, by the 247Sports Composite rankings.

Woods became one of several players to decommit from the Nittany Lions from the 2025 cycle. He joined the likes of running back Alvin Henderson, cornerback Omari Gaines, running back Keandrea Barker, linebacker DJ McClary, and safety Antonio Branch Jr.
