Report: Former Lady Lions Forward Grace Hall To Transfer To SMU

Former Penn State women’s basketball forward Grace Hall is expected to transfer to SMU, per On3’s Talia Goodman. Hall became the third Lady Lion to find a new program this offseason after Gracie Merkle and Jill Jekot.
Hall started her time in college with LSU during the 2021-22 season. After registering seven appearances in Baton Rouge, Hall transferred to play JUCO ball at Wabash Valley College but redshirted that season.
Hall came to Penn State before the 2023-24 season, playing in 31 games with 2.2 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 0.2 assists per game. In 2024-25, Hall started 15 games and played in 29 for Penn State. She averaged 5.7 points, three rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game.
Four players from last season’s team remain on the Lady Lions’ roster after Hall, Merkle, Jekot, Cam Rust, Talayah Walker, Alli Campbell, Moriah Murray, Ariana Williams, and Gabby Elliott hit the portal.
