Eleven players are listed as out for Penn State football’s Big Ten opener against Wisconsin, per the gameday Big Ten availability report for the matchup.

Wide receiver Koby Howard will not suit up for the first time this season after suffering an injury against Buffalo. He will be out for an “extended period of time.”

Defensive end Lavar Arrington II got knee surgery and is also out for about another three weeks. Cornerback Joshua Johnson and Tyler Armstead, defensive ends Mason Robinson and Dayshaun Burnett, and tight end Cooper Alexander are all out against the Badgers as well.

Linebacker Cam Smith and cornerback Christian Askew started the week as “questionable,” but are a no-go for Penn State. Defensive end Max Granville and offensive lineman Will Tompkins are out for the season.

Safety Omarion Davis was previously listed as “probable,” but is listed as a game time decision for the Nittany Lions. Offensive linemen Brock Riker and Dominic Rulli, wide receiver Ethan Black, and tight end Andrew Rappleyea are also listed as game time decisions.

Riker and Rappleyea got banged up against Buffalo, but Matt Campbell said they both could have re-entered the game and were taken out as a precaution.
