
Everyone loves downtown State College, but there are plenty of stores, services, and restaurants it could use. Here's our list of ten, and maybe we'll see them one day.

From Kildare’s to Five Guys, downtown State College features many different places at which one can get a burger. With variations in everything from the bread to the cheese to the beef, each burger joint offers its own unique interpretation on the iconic American food. But who does it best in Happy Valley? Just like we did with wings and drunk pizza, we had some of our staff's carnivores debate which burger is State College's best.
With polls closing in Pennsylvania, the hotly contested gubernatorial race has been called for Democratic challenger Tom Wolf by multiple outlets. Wolf defeated incumbent Tom Corbett (R) in a race closely-watched by Penn Staters due to Corbett's involvement in the aftermath of the Sandusky Scandal.

It's election day in America. Polls open at 7 a.m. today, and if you're registered you should definitely find time before 8 p.m. to vote. While most races in State College are likely to be anticlimactic, high turnout is a hallmark of a civically engaged and caring community.
A new Mexican food option will soon enter the fray in downtown State College – California Tortilla, a fairly new franchise based out of Maryland, will open a location on College Avenue where The Retreat's realty office used to be next to Zola.
