The IFC and PHC are teaming up to do a promotional video showcasing some major Greek talent. The video—due out within the next two weeks—will highlight a variety of Greek leaders on campus and their accomplishments.
When asked why they chose to make a video, IFC president Dan Florencio said, “It’s a form of media we haven’t utilized in the past.”
While the IFC may not have exploited the viral nature of YouTube yet, some of their Greek broskis have: “Death to Greek Life”, a video made by ex-AEPi members, criticized the Interfraternity Council for their conduct over the past two years. When asked if this new, positive video was a response to the recently made “Death to Greek Life,” Florencio responded, “absolutely not,” adding, “[We’re] just featuring Greek talent in a new way.”

Expectations were high for the Penn State basketball team going into this season. After adjusting to life after Jamelle Cornley's departure last year, where no leader ever stepped up and the Nittany Lions struggled to an 11-20 record, this year was supposed to be different. With four senior starters, this team was expected to compete for the top half of the Big Ten. After sixteen games, I'm still very shaky about this team.

At 5:55 a.m. on a dark, deserted street tucked between College and Beaver avenues, a car silently pulls into an empty parking spot. A man emerges a few seconds later, wearing a three-day-old five o’clock shadow and holding a tobacco pipe comfortably between his lips as if it’s an extra appendage. He walks quickly toward the coffee shop across the street, eager to get out of the chilly winter air.
Fiddling with his keys for a moment until the lock clicks, he enters the room and heads directly into the back, hanging his hunter-green winter coat on a peg and pulling off his leather gloves, throwing them haphazardly on the counter next to him.

On Thursday, Penn State students Corey Hertzog and Matheus Braga will be hoping to hear their names called at the Major League Soccer (MLS) SuperDraft held in Baltimore, MD. After illustrious careers on Penn State's Men's Soccer team, both players are expected to get picked in the three round draft.

In an attempt to recreate last year's rather epic Pollock vs. East snowball fight, a Facebook event has been created proposing another battle Thursday night. There don't seem to be set teams yet, though proposals for on/off-campus and under/upperclassmen are being discussed.
If improvised alpine warfare is your thing, you might want to head down to Pollock around 8:30. On the other hand, if you don't want to be pelted by overzealous combatants, you might want to steer clear of the area.
If you're participating, remember that this is supposed to be a fun event, so be smart about what you're throwing; no one likes getting hit by an iceball.
