Last night, SPA and the Lion Ambassadors provided Penn State students with some Founder's Day entertainment as Parachute and fun. played in front a large crowd at Alumni Hall.

How far would you walk to see Vanessa Cartlon in concert? Luckily, most students wont need to walk too far next month, as SPA announced that she would be performing at Penn State as part of a concert series that also includes the band Yellowcard.

So Wednesday is February 29th, that one day that comes around every four years that makes us wait another day until Christmas comes. What is the purpose of this extra day? Some would tell you that we need it to make up for the Earth's orbit around the sun, but Onward State has decided it's a day to find new music. We start you off on your journey with some staff picks on this final Monday of February.

EDM superstar Sebastian Ingrosso, one-third of supergroup Swedish House Mafia, performed at the Bryce Jordan Center last night along with openers Alesso, a rising star in the genre, and David Solano, a regular Dayglow DJ. It was no surprise to see Solano, as the event, named State of Emergency, was hosted by Dayglow's parent company, Committee Entertainment.

After weeks of anticipation, Movin' On announced most of its line-up for this spring's music festival on Wednesday in the HUB-Robeson Center. There will be a fifth headliner as well at least one local band which will be chosen after the Battle of the Bands which is slated for March 31st. Here are some Onward State staff members opinion on the choices for the line-up thus far.

It seems like everyone is a rapper these days. Penn State has certainly had their fair share of rappers come through over the past few years. Some are good. Some are not so good. Class of 2010 graduate (and former Collegian writer!) and Philadelphia native Adam Ferrone, also known as Rone, falls in the good category. His debut single, "200 Miles to Philadelphia," was released last week and produced by Ritz Reynolds, who has worked with The Roots and Mac Miller.
