With the final canning weekend of the season in the books, two passionate Penn Staters are helping the cause by allowing Tweeters to raise money for the Four Diamonds Fund on PSUpledge.com. This weekend was the final canning weekend for THON 2013. Thousands of Penn State students traveled with their orgs and committees all across the Mid-Atlantic, sacrificing their weekends to stand outside with cans, signs, and some crazy outfits to raise all the money they could for the Four Diamonds Fund. The annual THON FT5K took place Saturday with a record number of participants. The event had the usual THON spirit, despite the chilly temperature. The traditional Kids Race that took place around 10:45 was Halloween themed, so it featured children dressed up in various costumes, featuring Captain America, pirates, and a rocket ship.
While not getting a committee member position may come as a disappointment, there are still ways to get involved with THON and make a difference For The Kids.
