
Everyone's favorite student government organization, the University Park Undergraduate Association -- or UPUA -- will hold their first general assembly meeting of the semester tonight. Expect an unusually large turnout of six students at this evening's meeting as there is some hefty legislation on the agenda that will be debated and voted on.

Although a rain delay may have put a damper on the initially large audience, the Penn State Men's Soccer team defeated Hartford Monday night at Jeffrey Field, 3-2.

Progressive house DJs and Penn State students, Keegan Tawa and Andy Fitton, are determined to capitalize off of the rising fame of electronic music while clinging to the musical talent that seems to be lost as genres bleed into the mainstream. Though Penn State’s party rankings might have dropped this year, students can still be proud of a consistently high LGBT-friendly campus rating.
Awarded by Campus Pride, the LGBT-friendly Campus Climate Index takes eight factors – including campus safety and health support – into account. Yet again, Penn State received a ranking of five stars, which is the highest rank possible from the CCI.

The Center for Performing Arts is hosting a Student Patio Party on September 5th. It will take place from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. in the Eisenhower Auditorium. It will feature the singer-songwriter The Ready Set.
