The Collegian recently published a really fantastic profile of boxer Katongo Mulenga, who is also a Penn State student. The writer, Dean Meyers, shadows Katonogo as he trains at the Altoona Boxing Club (without a coach) and competes in a fight at Uniontown. The story is very well written, with atmospheric lines like: Atlantic City […]
Sex sells. That’s probably why the Collegian’s article about a new male escort service got above the fold A1 coverage. The Gentleman of State College (here’s their MySpace… booty calls, anyone?) is offering male escorts for “anything from dinner dates to massages to bachelor parties to bachelorette parties.” The company makes clients sign statements saying […]
Penn State announced on Friday that it would be purchasing the James Building, home to the Collegian, for $4.4 million. We covered it here. The wording of the press release was confusing though. It said: Though Penn State has the option to purchase the property in 2015, owner Charles Rider II and the University agreed […]

As students with all the idealism and energy of youth, I urge you to consider a career in politics or government. Spector is a good man. As an 80 year […]
