Gameday Coverage: No. 7 Penn State vs. UCLA

It’s Stripe Out time, folks.

Penn State football hosts its first new member of the Big Ten on Saturday when UCLA comes to Happy Valley. The Bruins are off to a 1-3 start, and all signs point to a dominant performance from the Nittany Lions on Saturday.

Here’s everything you need to know ahead of Saturday’s tilt.

Television

Big Noon Kickoff is coming to Happy Valley this week for the Nittany Lions’ Big Ten matchup. Gus Johnson will handle the play-by-play with his typical partner, Joel Klatt, as the color analyst. Jenny Taft will be on the sidelines.

Radio

Last Meeting

The Bruins and Nittany Lions have met six times, all in the 1960’s. UCLA holds a 4-2 series record over the Nittany Lions, but Penn State bested the Bruins 21-6 during their last meeting on October 12, 1968.

Injuries

James Franklin revealed at his weekly press conference on Monday that Cam Wallace had suffered a long-term injury during the game against Kent State. However, Franklin also said the team expected to have Dom DeLuca, Sal Wormley, and Jalen Kimber back this week.

While Nick Singleton was absent from the practice viewing session on Wednesday, Franklin said there was nothing that would impact his availability for Saturday “at this stage.”

Betting Lines

The Nittany Lions are 28-point favorites over the Bruins. The over/under is set at 44 points. Penn State’s money line opened at -5000.
