Ace Baldwin Jr. Named To NABC Second-Team All-District

Penn State men’s basketball point guard Ace Baldwin Jr. was named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches second-team All-District for the Mid Atlantic District, the NABC announced Tuesday.

Baldwin’s selection earns him another postseason award after he was named the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year for the second consecutive season last week. Baldwin also secured an All-Big Ten honorable mention by both Big Ten coaches and media. He also finished as a top-10 candidate for the Bob Cousy Award.

The Baltimore native started 30 games for the Nittany Lions this season. He averaged 14 points, 2.8 rebounds, 7.1 assists, and 2.4 steals per game in his final year dawning the blue and white.

Baldwin was one of three Big Ten players to be selected in either of the Mid Atlantic District teams. The full list can be found here.

Penn State reportedly declined its invitation to postseason tournaments to end its season after upsetting then-No. 12 Wisconsin in the season finale. The Nittany Lions went 16-15 and 6-14 in Big Ten play, missing the conference tournament.
