Kyron Hudson Signs With Chicago Bears As Undrafted Free Agent

Former Penn State football wide receiver Kyron Hudson has signed with the Chicago Bears as an undrafted free agent, the team announced Monday.
As a product of Mater Dei High School in California, Hudson was the No. 22-ranked receiver in the class of 2021, per 247Sports’ Composite rankings. He originally committed to Oregon, but flipped to USC to begin his collegiate career. After spending four years as a Trojan, Hudson transferred to Penn State for his final year of eligibility.
In his lone season as a Nittany Lion, Hudson settled into a No. 3 receiver role behind Trebor Peña and Devonte Ross. He recorded 23 catches for 288 yards and two touchdowns. Peña signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars and Ross signed with the Los Angeles Chargers.
Hudson was not invited to the NFL combine, but he participated in Penn State’s Pro Day. He ran a respectable 4.64 40-yard dash and posted a 30.5-inch vertical jump.
Hudson did not hear his name called at the 2026 NFL Draft. After spending the Bears’ 2026 Rookie Minicamp on a rookie try-out basis, he lands in Chicago to fight for a roster spot.
