
Two weekends from now, when you're standing on street corners all over the East Coast trying to raise those dolla dolla bills For the Kids, you'll be shaking a newer, sleeker can-can.
Both the cans and signs have been given a makeover for the 2010-2011 fundraising season.

Starting today, five percent of the ticket sales for the Penn State vs. Indiana football game, up to $150,000, will be donated to THON 2011 by the Washington Redskins.

This Friday, THON organizations Atlas, Ohana, and Springfield will unite to kick off the fundraising season for the 2011 IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon with an arm wrestling tournament.

Selections for THON 2011 committee captains were announced Sunday. This year 315 students out of 576 applicants were chosen to lead OPP, Morale, Public Relations and the rest of the 11 main committees.

In an effort to appease the recent debates about the internal decision making process that is taken by the 15 members of the Penn State Dance Marathon's Overall Committee, Interfraternity Council President Max Wendkos invited student leaders within THON to meet for a discussion forum last night.
The meeting lasted over two hours and brought together THON leadership and organization presidents to discuss recent decisions made by the overall committee and how they will affect organizations participating in the event.
