Happy gameday, folks!

Penn State football is fresh off its first win in over two months and now faces a Senior Day matchup against the Nebraska Cornhuskers. The Nittany Lions look to maintain bowl eligibility as Nebraska finds itself down to its QB2 after star Dylan Raiola suffered a season-ending injury.

Here’s everything you need to know ahead of Penn State’s final home game of the season.

The game will be broadcast on NBC with Noah Eagle on play-by-play, Todd Blackledge on color commentary, and Kathryn Tappen reporting from the sidelines. It’s Penn State’s second time on NBC this season after the Nittany Lions’ White Out loss to Oregon. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m.

Saturday evening will be a cool 35° with wind gusts up to five mph, according to AccuWeather. Cloud cover will be at 26% and there is an 8% chance of precipitation.

Injuries

A.J. Harris did not play against Michigan State after being listed as questionable despite suiting up and going through warmups. Smith said he wasn’t healthy enough to play, but he expects him to be back against the Cornhuskers.

Jaxon Smolik, Bekkem Kritza, Drew Allar, Kaden Saunders, Josiah Brown, Ethan Black, Peter Gonzalez, Max Granville, Chaz Coleman, Owen Wafle, Mason Robinson, Cortez Harris, Kaleb Artis, Sam Siafa, Bobby Mears, Jordan Mayer, Tony Rojas, Kari Jackson, Jackson Pryts, Antoine Belgrave-Shorter, Donte Nastasi, Liam Horan, and Brady O’Hara all missed action against the Spartans.

Series History

Nebraska holds a 10-8 edge all-time over Penn State. The two programs last squared off in 2020, where the Cornhuskers snagged a 30-23 win in Lincoln.

Penn State won the last matchup before that in a 56-44 barn burner at Beaver Stadium. Nebraska won four games in a row from 2003 to 2013, which still stands as the longest win streak in series history.

Penn State won four of the first five matchups between the two programs from 1920 to 1952.

Betting Lines

The Nittany Lions are 8.5-point favorites against the Cornhuskers, according to DraftKings. The over/under is set at 45.5 points.
