Injuries

Since Purdue is a Big Ten opponent, Penn State’s injury availability report is available ahead of kickoff.

Receiver Koby Howard could make his return to the field after missing the last four games due to an injury suffered in Week 3 against Buffalo. The sophomore is listed as doubtful heading into the weekend. Campbell said on October 13 that Howard’s return would be more of a “post-bye week conversation”.

Penn State also lists receiver Chase Sowell and tight end Brian Kortovich as questionable against the Boilermakers.

Defensive ends Max Granville and Mason Robinson will not suit up on Saturday.

Granville suffered a season-ending injury in practice ahead of the Temple game and will miss the rest of the season, as will Robinson, who was injured at the start of spring ball.

Defensive end Lavar Arrington II missed the team’s first seven games after undergoing a  “cleanup” surgery on his knee at the beginning of the season, but he is no longer listed on the Purdue injury report. Dayshaun Burnett, who has missed extended time, is also off the list.

Cornerbacks Joshua Johnson, Christian Askew, and Tyler Armstead are also listed as out, along with safety Omarion Davis, defensive tackle Liam Andrews, tight end Cooper Alexander, kicker Christiano Rosa, and offensive lineman Will Tompkins, who will miss the rest of the season after suffering a “unique” injury during pregame warmups before Buffalo.

Linebacker Alex Tatsch is out after Campbell announced that the sophomore would miss the rest of the season with an injury days after the USC game.

Meanwhile, defensive tackle Armstrong Nnodim, safety Jeremiah Cooper, and defensive linemen Yvan Kemajou and Alexander McPherson are all probable for Saturday.
